Take me out to the Ball game.....

Ryan took Kendri to the Giants game this weekend.  These kids love hanging out with their dad and they love the Giants!

Kendri was lucky enough to get a baseball from one of the players during batting practice. Whoo hoo!!

Meanwhile, at the home front, Kyson has been taking care of his own baseball duties......

Now back to the game.....

Teacher appreciation

 Kendri was awarded 1st place this year for the most AR points for 1st-4th grade! I think she had somewhere around 540 ish.  She loves to read.  Her good friend Ella Gregory took 2nd place.

We also spent some time at the school for Kyson's assembly.  And no one loves Dexton. Nope.  Not a single soul. ;)

Dexton turns 1!!!

My baby is 1.  How did this happen??
Thank goodness this happened!
Do any of you have conflicting emotions when it comes to your babies growing up? On the hand, its a special bonding phase of life.  On the other hand, moments to yourself are so rare.  Motherhood depletes you.  But it also fulfills you.  I would have it no other way. 

Dexton loved his big day.  And Lexi totally came through with some clay creations to make the birthday cake spectacular!  Poor Lexi.  She had been planning on doing this for Dexton but then she came down with a bug and has been running a fever and feeling terrible.  But being the good big sister she is, she muscled through and got the little circus figures done. And she did a terrific job!

 One little taste and he was hooked......

 At one, Dexton is fast little mover and loves to climb.  He also is a terrible sleeper.  I'll sleep when I'm dead.  I guess.  He loves to try new foods and is notoriously grouchy.  But we love him just the same!!! Happy birthday baby!

Random Happenings in May

Spirit Week at school calls for Sports day and you know how crazy this family is about the Giants.....we were ready!!

  Dexton does not understand that sometimes climbing is NOT going to get you where you want to go.  #stuckunderthetable

This kid loves watermelon.  It's so juicy and delicious, who can blame him??

  Summer time!!! Let the pool parties begin!  And the coronary heart problems for the moms with babies who love the water and don't fit in their floaties......I'm talking about me in case there was any confusion.

Not Picky.....yet!

Who is this kid?? He enjoys eating raw broccoli and lemons.  I'm guessing that won't stick but for now, Dexton is happy to eat whatever I put in front of him!

Happy Surprise Birthday Kendri!

So I know I already posted about Kendri's 10th bday, but she got lucky and had two parties!  A family party and then a surprise birthday party with her friend Lauren Silcox.  Lauren's mom wanted to do an early bday for Lauren so Lauren would never suspect it coming.  And Kendri never saw it coming either because she already had her cake and presents!  It was a win-win and the girls were super surprised!

A Couple of Firsts

With the weather warming up we decided it was high time to get this baby to the park! He had a great time and loved the swing.  It's fun to watch how much the kids love joining Dexton with all of these firsts.....

We've also had to get creative with blocking this mobile boy from the stairs.  He seems to think he should have access to the stairs!

 Oh. I guess we are back to the park :).  Look at that grin!  He was giggling the whole time.

He also loves the slide.  He didn't actually go down it unless one of his siblings went with him.  Which they all wanted to grab him and go...

He's also becoming a bit of a Beethoven.  Shayli is teaching him well. :)

In other exciting news, Lexi was able to go do baptisms for the dead this month.  She turned 12 and got her temporary recommend.  She was so excited to go!

 We went to the Oakland temple.  We went with  our friends, the Silcox's.  Dallin also has a February birthday.  It was a sweet experience to be able to share with friends and family.

Gamie even made the trip! What a wonderful thing to have the temple in our lives and be able to attend regularly.  We are surely blessed.

Happy 10th Birthday Kendri!

 Kendri has officially hit double digits.  And she couldn't be more thrilled about it!
She has a major love for all things Harry Potter.  I believe she has read the book about 40 times. All seven. Ok that may be a bit of exaggeration but she has read them a bunch and loves them every time.  Having said that, she opted for the BB8 cake this year.  Considering that is all the rage these days. 

 Kendri has a heart of gold and is one of the hardest workers around. 

She has a fun personality and loves playing soccer.
