Gamie Camp 2015 - Pinecrest

This year Gamie Camp took place up in the forests of Pinecrest.  We stayed in a cabin and spent our time partying!

Aunt Liz was a big hit again as always!  She always has lots of fun crafts for the kids.

All the kids loved the paddle boards and rafts again this year.  I dare say we all got our work out in by paddling out to the middle of the lake and back.

This was Dexton's first Gamie Camp and he loved it.  Obviously.  We spent most of our time together and looking something like this.....

All the girl cousins!  We couldn't ask for a cuter group. The lake was pretty busy as usual.  We were hoping for less of crowd considering it was mid week.  We were out of luck.

Carson and Kyson teamed up with some neighboring boys and managed to build a few rivers and waterfalls.  They spent a great deal of time planning their "blueprints".

Say cheese!

Here are few of the crafts that the kids worked on.  These are nature decorated masks.....Anyone planning a masquerade party?

Kyson's personal favorite, I'm sure.  A rubber band gun that endured several war-fare games.

This game of Twister looks a little too easy if you ask me...

We decided to hike around the lake.  We didn't realize it was a 5 mile hike until we were at the half way point.  But before we got too pooped out, the kids decided to jump off some rocks and swim.  I was nervous about shayli swimming in open waters since she just started swimming this year so Lexi helped keep track of her.  She rocked it!

The hike was long but beautiful and we had the perfect weather.  Thank goodness, because that's all we had.  We managed to pack a couple of waters and some crackers but no where near enough for a 5 hour hike!  Dexton came along and I like to think I burned a few baby pounds.  But I didn't so it's a good thing there wasn't a scale in the cabin......

The kids were troopers and really no one complained.  But they were tired for sure!
And so was I.

Craft time!  Bird houses this time.

We started a nice cozy fire.....except that it was so smokey that it actually wasn't nice at all. But we felt obliged to use every available amenity. And don't call us if you ever go camping.  We ain't no boy scouts.

One last hurrah before we leave!

We finished Gamie Camp by stopping at a miniature golf course on the way home.  Thanks Gamie!! We love you!!

Shay-Shay turns 4!

Shayli is 4! And she loves Frozen.  You can guess where this is going...

We had a joint bday party at Aunt Jenni's for Uncle Brendan and Shayli.  It was quite the swim bash.  And Aunt Jenni wasn't even there.  They were on vacay.

We did have cousins and the Silcox friends joining us.  It was a great night for a swim!

 Blow out the candles!

Apparently twinning is winning in this family.

One of Shayli's favorite presents was an Olaf necklace that Lexi made for her.  She loves it!

At 4 Shayli is:

Loves to be everyone's twin

Favorite joke:  Why did Dexton come out so cute?
Because he was combing his hair with the umbilical cord!

Fun loving

Cuddle monster

Loves to play with hair

Loves long hair

Nightly ritual:
See you in the morning
I love you million bucks
I love you more
(Says all three things as she gives a hug, kissy, and an ugga-mugga aka nose kiss)

Can do the monkey bars

Rides with no training wheels

Can swim! (still uses a floaty when mom or dad aren't in the pool)

loves to shop

loves fashion and is very creative with her outfits

We love Shayli and wouldn't trade her for the world! Happy Birthday girl!

Colorado Trip 2015

After Uncle Daniel's wedding, we said goodbye to Ryan (who had to work) and we headed to Colorado for the week.  The kids had lots of fun and Aunt Jessica made sure to make some special memories!  The girl's got to hang out with her for an afternoon where they shopped her closet and had a fashion show.

We celebrated the Fourth at the Robbins house and had lots of fireworks.

Uncle Flop-flop was in town with Cam and Shayli decided he was her "twin."

Grandma was in baby heaven with her two newest grandbabies....Rory (born May 6) and Dexton (June 1).

The difference in size was quite remarkable for only being 3 weeks apart......

And we had to include the "coming soon picture".  All three 2015 babies together for the first time.

Capture the flag was a big hit in Pa's backyard.  It offered hours of entertainment.

And the boys decided to have a warhead battle.  I'm pretty sure Kyson lost.....

A romp in the park and a hike to the stinky tower was included in the trip.

We always make a point of visiting the bowling alley for a family bowl-off.  We feel it our civic duty to keep Uncle Philip's bowling alley lucrative.  Oh wait.  We may have bowled for free....

The newlyweds joined us....

And Uncle Skip was teaching the finer points of pool.

Uncle Travis and Aunt Jessica hosted the first ever cousin camp out in their backyard.  From the sounds of it, it was a hit!  We're talking spooky visitors and eerie noises going on outside the tent. And broken curfews....

The morning came too early for all.  The muffins and juice made up for it!

Giant human foos ball was new to the family reunion.  The kids all had a great time once they got the hang of it.  We love our aunts and uncles!!!

Me and Dexton did some hanging out in the hammock.  Obviously we had company.

The grand finale of the trip was a scavanger hunt in Grandma's neighborhood.  Hooray!!

Some of the spoils from the hunt.

Meanwhile, back on the farm.....Pa was getting some good snuggles from some cute girls.

Grandma Lu always has the magic touch rocking the babies.  She loves to sing to them.

The famous "twin day".  The red shirts with matching stars has forever made Uncle Philip and Shayli twins.

Uncle Travis making sure Kyson knows who's boss.

We made it to the top! Dexton was there too, just not pictured.
